1- El Hijo del Santo/Super Porky/Atlantico vs
Misterioso/Poison/Impacto (Feb 15, 1998-Compton)
-classic lucha match. The angle here is that Misterioso had lost his
mask to Rey Jr in Tijuana, but keeps wearing it. Santo kills his mask
once and for all. Porky drank a 1/2 pint of Scotch right before the match.
2- Vampiro/Super Parka/Tinieblas vs Black Magic/Damien/Pirata Morgan
(March 3, 1998-Tijuana)
-Total Brawl. Konnan had threatened to kill Vampiro earlier in the week.
Magic had dinner with Konnan the nite before this match. Magic is Vamp's
best friend in the business. Magic and Vamp had eaten a huge amount of
Chinese food just prior to the show. Magic makes with the jokes.
3- Santo/La Parka vs Psicosis/Villano 5 (March 13, 1998-Tijuana)
-A great match with classic moves and Parka going nuts with chair shots,
and ripped up floorboards. Psic sacrifices his body. Santo is still the king.
4- Fujin/Dragon vs Zarco/Impacto (April 5, 1998-Santa Ana)
-Fujin is a Japanese kid training in Mexico City, studying pure lucha.
Impacto and Zarco are hot local guys.
5- Shocker/Rey Sr/Vampiro vs Villano 4/Damien/Bestia Salvaje (March 13, 1998-Tijuana)
-What started as a good match disintegrated because V4 (a last minute
replacement for Juventud) was dead drunk-and apparently was getting sick
as the match wears on. Check out Vamp's frustration. V4 is so wasted he
even breaks kayfabe and kisses an old lady-and he's a rudo.

1- Vampiro vs Pirata Morgan with Super Crazy (Culican, Mex. May 3, 1998)
Vamp was supposed to win the IWC belt here-but Azteca, knowing they were
folding, told Pirata to keep it, the nite before the tour started.
Thus-a screwjob finish. The highlight is Vamp giving Super Crazy a
Michinoku Driver II on a steel table.
2- Misterioso/Headhunters vs Blue Panther/Adventure (Angel Azteca)/Little
Haystacks. (Anaheim May 13, 1998)
Misterioso carves up Adventure with a fork. You can't do this with
chopsticks.
3- Unmasked Lucha Stars-You guess 'em!
4- Santo/Felino/Super Astro v Blue Panther/Dr Wagner/Principe Joel
(Bakersfield, June 13, 1998)
This took place at a bullring in the middle of nowhere. By the time the
match started it was dark. And there was 1 light. There was so much
horseshit in the arena, that Felino and Santo refused to dive out of the
ring. Thus the action becomes a beehive IN the ring. You can see the
sunset behind the ring.
5- Vampiro vs Pirata (Stockton, Aug 28, 1998)
A great brawl in a great building, Vamp blades-hardly bleeds-and get
stitches at 3AM. Pirata, who can't feel his upper face on the eyeless
side, hits a friggin' oilwell. An asst building manager keeps saying
"He's bleeding. He's not supposed to bleed (at Vamp)." I end up in a
conversation with her while shooting. Vamp yells at Dave Meltzer, "You
better write good about me" right before running himself into an
unworked table ($112.) They give each other thumbs up after the match.
6- Dr Wagner/Misterioso (w the mask again) vs Santo/Blue Panther
(Stockton, Aug 28, 1998)
The Dr Wagner comedy show, as he was feeling REAL GOOD after his 3rd New
Japan tour. At the end, someone throws Dave Meltzer's notebook at
Wagner. Meltzer makes the save on his notebook.
